Left in the Dark, London
December 2008: Refugees United attended the conference 'Left in the Dark' arranged by BBC World Service Trust and the Humanitarian Practice Network. The conference highlighted the fact that the humanitarian community continuously seem to fail to understand and meet the information needs of affected populations. A very relevant subject indeed. Power of the blogosphere: A great success
November 2008: The 'Bloggers Unite for Refugees' campaign has ended and proved an enormous success! More than 12.000 people worldwide blogged about refugees on November 10th, and with an average contributing blogger reaching 200 readers, the plight of refugees may have reached as many 2.5 million readers. September 2008: Sophie Anthon, Communications Officer is visiting Egypt as Inklusion has invited Refugees United to participate in 'Ramadan Nights' at the British Council. The system is simple and secure yet intelligent: It allows the individual to search and register on his/her own conditions. 20. June: As of today the board has constituted Refugees United as a Foundation in addition to status as an organization. The daily work and aspirations of Refugees United will continue unaltered, but the formal structure is now more sufficient for the furthering of our cause. Visit our board here.

The watch will be available for purchase in 40 countries around the world from November 2008. For each sale Refugees United will receive 20$ to further the cause of helping refugees reunite.
