Code of Conduct
- Refugees United offer its service to all refugees and others who have lost contact with family and loved ones - regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, age, gender, caste, formal status, religious or political conviction.
- Refugees United will remain independent of governments, politics and religions. It is imperative for Refugees United not to be used as an instrument of other parties.
- The Refugees United search engine will remain free of charge.
- Refugees United will constantly strive to be on the technological forefront regarding security for the users of the search engine - both in relation to anonymity, hosting and the technical design.
- No-one, including employees, partners, founders, governments, ambassadors, board members can gain access to the mail-correspondences in the search engine.
- Refugees United will continuously strive to get all activities sponsored by partnerships, foundations and voluntary activists, thus keeping the expenses of the Refugees United Foundation at a minimum.
- Refugees United hold ourselves accountable to both our users and our partners, beneficiaries and ambassadors.
- The capital of the Refugees United Foundation will remain transparent and open for scrutiny, should this be of interest to the public, partners or other organizations.
- The capital of the Refugees United Foundation shall only be used to activities that further the case of Refugees United and to payment of the administrative employees -never be spent to the personal benefit of founders/employees/partners or ambassadors of Refugees United.
- Refugees United will not engage in partnerships with institutions, corporations or organizations who consciously are involved in weaponry, child labor or illegal activities.
- Refugees United will not allow contributors or partners to limit the political or religious independence of RU, though we respect our contributors' and partners' right to political and religious persuasions.
- It is not the objective of Refugees United to provide physical reunification.
The Refugees United Code of Conduct is inspired by the ethical standards for organizations involved in humanitarian work set by the Steering Committee for Humanitarian Response
